VICTORIA ISD EARNS STATE'S HIGHEST FISCAL ACCOUNTABILITY RATING

The Victoria Independent School District proudly announces that it has been awarded an "A" rating for "Superior Achievement" under Texas’ School FIRST financial accountability rating system. The “Superior Achievement” rating is the state’s highest, demonstrating the quality of Victoria ISD’s financial management and reporting system. 

The primary goal of School FIRST is to achieve quality performance in the management of school districts’ financial resources, a goal made more significant due to the complexity of accounting associated with Texas’ school finance system.

PRUETT ELECTED TO STATE ASSOCIATION BOARD

Margaret Pruett of Victoria ISD has been elected to a one-year term on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Board of Directors, representing TASB Region 3. The election was held during the Association’s 2023 Delegate Assembly on Sept. 30 in Dallas.

Pruett was elected to the Victoria ISD School Board in 2016 and currently serves as the board secretary. She has always loved being part of the public school system. She was a substitute teacher in Sinton ISD while attending college and then joined Victoria ISD in 1994, first as a permanent substitute teacher and later as a bilingual kindergarten/first-grade teacher’s assistant.
